This photo isn't dated, but I'm presuming it's the Silver Jubilee in 1977, it certainly looks very patriotic, and we were all keen on a parade in those days.

Gill had a true community spirt and was always actively involved in many aspects of village life, the WI, her work for St. Bridget's and the French Exchange group, to name just a few.

She was a wonderful neighbour and friend to have during our time on Chelvey Lane; I will always remember the kindness and support she showed to my Mother, when my Father passed away.

Rest in Peace Gill, you will be greatly missed.
